CBOI Social Media Hop

Hi peeps!

I have a new 12x12" scrapbook layout for you today! I am participating in the Craft Bunker of Ignorance (CBOI) Social Media Hop. You can find all of the links down below!

Our topic this time is scraplifting, and who else to choose other than the queen herself, Missy Whidden. I saw this layout  she did recently and I remembered that I have something like it lying around somewhere. So I tried my best and I love how my layout turned out!

I treated my cardstock with clear gesso and after it had dried I used a stencil and the bead gel and oh my lord, I love the texture it gives! After that had dried, which took a few hours, I used spray mists (Dylusions Pure Sunshine and Cherry Pie; Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mint, Peach and Mustard; Distress Stain Twisted Citron) to create a fun and colorful background.

While that was drying, which took another few hours, I made my photo matte with a bunch of papers, the more colors the better! I really wanted to use the Dear Lizzy chipboard sticker that says 'don't grow up it's a trap' because I really love how it matched my photo.

After everything was dry I splattered some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold. I adhered my photo layers in the middle of my layout and started embellishing. I used the Valentine's Day Collection by Cat Martin which I absolutely love!

After battling with my dying camera LOL I finally managed to get all of the die cuts on my page that I wanted and I also brought in some gems and random Emoji stickers as well as foam stickers.

And that was my layout for today - I hope you like my layout!

CARD PROCESS VIDEO #26

Hi peeps!

I am back today with another card process video for you!

I started off stamping a gorgeous rose stamp on watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Gouache. After it was dry I fussy cut it out. I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Overlay Brush Pen.

As my cardbase I decided to use one of my DIY mist backgrounds that I made, those come in super handy! I cut it down to size and used foam tape to adhere it on my grey cardbase.

I stamped a sentiment a on the front of my card as well on the inside of my card. On the inside I also stamped a few rose stamps.

I decided to add some leaves to my rose and I used Dovecraft Forest Pigment Ink to stamp it out and then I used the coordinating die to cut it out. Then I used my Gouache to add some more color.

I adhered everything to my card and that finished off my card for today! I hope you like it!

BREAK THE RULES MONDAY #9

Hello peeps!

Break the Rules Monday is, where I take something that was not made for scrapbooking and make a layout with it!
I am posting a BTRM video every last Monday of the month!

For this months layout I am using cupcake holders!

Oh my, I was super indecisive the day I made this layout LOL. But, I really love it!

So, as I was saying, I am using cupcake holders for this layout. I used some mists (Dylusions After Midnight, White Linen and Calypso Teal, Marabu Carribean, Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mint) to make them prettier and I cut off the flap on the side.

I arranged them on my layout and after what felt like hours and hours, I finally decided how I want my scales to be and taped them down. I cut my two pictures down to 4x4 inches and matted them both on white tissue paper as well as some foam for dimension.

I added my title with gorgeous silver glitter thickers and added some stickers from Crate Paper Oasis as well as Echo Park Summer Dreams plus some random stickers from my stash. A few more gems here and there and my layout is done!

CARD PROCESS VIDEO #25

Hello peeps!

I am back today with another card process video for you!

I used a pre-printed card as my cardbase today and colored the cute owls with my Colour Therapy metallic colored pencils.

I am layering some papers on the front of my card and stamped a sentiment form the Mama Elephant Say What stamp set - which I love!.

I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of my card. And then I decided to go crazy and started the whole confetti thing LOL. At first I used a confetti stamp and stamped it on either side of the sentiment and then I used the Your Next Stamp Confetti Die and added every little thing, which took forever LOL.

On my envelope I stamped a Kaiserkraft Owl stamp set and added a heart that I punched from the same paper as on and in my card.

And after a very long time I managed to finish my card for today - I hope you like it!

12x12" scrapbook layout #15

Hello peeps!

I have a 12x12" scrapbook layout for you today!

For this layout I used the Authentique Decorated paper from the Devoted collection and I toned it down using some white gesso. After it was dry I used two mists and the packaging technique to create a fun background.

I mated my photo on a few papers as well as white tissue paper and a big doily. For my title I used a 'captured' die cut from the Lovely Snap Pack by Simple Stories. I also used a few bits from that ephemera pack as well as a dog wood veneer.

I forgot that I trimmed off a border strip from the Echo Park Bark collection, so I added that on one side as well as a tiny word sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet.

And that finished off my layout for today - I hope you enjoyed it!
